Heat pumps, planned one room at a time.

Brighton installs, repairs and maintains ductless and ducted heat pumps, furnaces and cooling for homes and businesses around Everett — starting with the rooms you actually use, not a one-size system.

Room by room

Where the heads go in a baseboard house.

An example of a single-storey Everett house heated by electric baseboards. Not every room needs a ductless head — here's how one plan works out.

How an install goes

From walk-through to first warm evening.

  1. Walk-through

Room by room: sizes, windows, insulation, how you use each space.

  2. Written plan

Where heads and the outdoor unit go, where the lines run, and the price.

  3. Install

Lines run neatly, outdoor unit mounted clear of snow and splash.

  4. Handover

How to run it, how to clean the filters, and what to do with the baseboards.

Plain about heat pumps

What we won't tell you.

  • A savings figure

What you'll save depends on your house, your rates and how you run it. We won't put a percentage on a website.

  • That the heads are invisible

They're neat, but they're on your wall. We'll show you exactly where before we drill.

  • That backup is never needed

On the coldest days some houses lean on the old baseboards. That's normal, not a failure.

  • A rebate amount

Utility and state programmes change. We'll point you to Snohomish PUD and current programmes rather than quote numbers.

Questions

Asked about ductless — and the rest.

Do I need a head in every room?

No. Open living areas can often share one, and small rooms such as bathrooms and offices often keep their baseboard heaters. How many heads a house needs depends on its layout and how you use it, which is why we plan room by room.

Should we remove the baseboard heaters?

Usually not straight away. Leaving them in rooms without a head, and as backup on the coldest days, is common. Whether to remove any is a decision to make after a winter with the new system.

Will a ductless heat pump cool the house too?

Yes. The same heads heat in winter and cool in summer, which is one reason they are popular in houses that never had air conditioning.

Do you work on businesses too?

Yes, equally. Offices, clinics, shops and restaurants around Everett, including ductless and ceiling-cassette systems, rooftop units and split systems.

What does "Wall Professionals" in your name mean?

It is part of the business name, not a second trade. Brighton is a heating and cooling contractor. We mount ductless heads on walls, but we do not do drywall, painting or wall finishing.
